A public awareness campaign has been launched by the Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital pledging not to use single-use plastic on International Plastic Bag Free Day. This campaign was conducted under the leadership of Dr Sudhanshu Saxena, Dr Shilpi Chatterjee and Dr Dhruba. Acharya from the Department of Dentistry of Public Health. Traders have been educated about the harmful effects of single-use plastics and the pollution and adverse effects of their use. Students carried the message of environmental protection and conservation by distributing paper bags made by their own hands in stores.
On this occasion, director Dr. Praveen Srinivas called on the people of Hazaribag district not to use single-use plastic completely. Also said that currently, plastic pollution is becoming one of the most serious problems for the world. This problem will have to be solved together because at present one of the main reasons for the disastrous consequences of global warming for all of us is plastic pollution and at present the increasing dependence of humans on plastic products does not is not only harmful to the environment. University students Bhavna, Varsha, Anirban, Anupriya and Anukreethy have made their commendable contribution to the public awareness campaign.
